One free 1Password License giveaway

Posted on 27 November, 2008 by Jimmy Liew

NOTE - this was in 2008. Giveaway is over.

As part of Agile’s Thanksgiving Holiday gift to their existing customer (like myself), they have given their customers a free license to 1Password to be given to anyone they choose.

We have a surprise to make this Thanksgiving extra special for everyone. Often, promotions are focused on new customers and don’t adequately recognise existing customers. 1Password is the most popular password manager on the Mac and iPhone/iPod touch because of you, so we thank you for this honour and offer you 1Password for free!

As an existing 1Password license holder, you already know that you can install 1Password on all your computers, thanks to our sane licensing model. You might be wondering, then, what good a free license is to you. Well, the way we see it, we get to express our gratitude and appreciation to all the 1Password customers that have helped us get where we are today, and you get to show your friends how much you care by saving them some money this holiday season and introducing them to some great new software!

So since I already have been using 1Password, I’d like to share some love to the 5 readers here at iHeartApple. To get it, simply drop a comment on why you think 1Password will be good to you and the best answers by Friday night 11.59pm Singapore Time will be given that free license. Only conditions are that you must be from Singapore and your comment won’t trigger ISD to come after you.

For those who prefer to pay and support a company like Agile, you can always make use of their Thanksgiving Special offer to get 1Password with a 15% discount! If you do it before Sunday, you are also eligible to get the free license. Buy 1 Get 1 free!

So why wait? Drop a comment on why you think 1Password will be good to you and the best answer, selected by a non-biased panel of me, myself and I, plus maybe some other helpful souls, will be given the free license.

What Others Are Saying

Prior to making the plunge into the Mac world with the purchase of the Unibody MBP, I did quite a bit of reading up beforehand and I came to realise that there are quite a few pieces of software for the Mac that are somewhat of a ‘must-have’, 1Password being one of them.

It occurred to me that a klutz like me, with many passwords to remember, would do well to invest in 1Password, but I have yet to get to that ever since receiving my lovely machine last Wednesday.

Having stumbled upon this particular post, I was hoping that I could, perhaps, be one of the lucky few?

    Cheerio!

    stronger password better security.
Now i’ve been using the almost the same password everyewhere on internet services, becuase who wants to remember 10-20 different passwords?
I’s easy to remember “one” password and also get strong password with the 1Password application.

In firefox i cant use built in OS X keychain, then i need to remeber all passwords with keychain and then copypaste to firefox. It makes a harder to switch between all the great browsers.

With 1Password I dont need to remember with keychain then I use 1Password thats works perfect with every browser.
