Apple updates 13-inch MacBook (White)

With not much fanfare, Apple updated the specs for the most affordable laptop – the 13-inch White MacBook, coming close to the mid-range unibody MacBook. The updated specs included these:

• slower 2.0GHz Intel Core 2 duo chip with faster 1066MHz frontside bus
• 2GB (two 1GB) of 667MHz DDR2 (slower than unibody 1066MHz DDR3 SDRAM)
• NVIDIA GeForce 9400M with 256MB of shared DDR2 SDRAM

The rest of the specs are not changed, including the price of S$1,588. However, at post time, the new White MacBook is not available at Singapore Apple Online Store.

So if you are out looking for a new MacBook, hold your horses, and your credit card. At least till the updated model appears in the Apple Store.
