Apple recently released four new Get a Mac ads that again pokes fun at Microsoft. The four ads – Biohazard Suit, Legal Copy, Stacks and Time Traveler – puts a funny twist to the age old Mac vs PC rivalry.

Go take a look and see why most people prefer these ads than those from Microsoft.

Birdhouse – a Twitter-Notepad

What it isn’t – a Twitter client. It doesn’t show you your friends’ Twitter nor fart when you swipe across a twit.

What it is – a Twitter-pad – for taking down your 140-characters notes that you can send to Twitter at a later time.

What it is – an app to let you jot down your 140-characters thoughts while you are offline/Airplane mode and publish them when you are online

What it is – just watch their awesome video to find out what it is.

Birdhouse is available on iTunes Store for US$3.99.

Apple has started variable pricing for the music found in iTunes Store. Announced back in January at Macworld 2009, popular tunes are priced at US$1.29 while others are priced at US$0.99 or US$0.69. Songs within an album can also have variable pricing.

Take for example, Lady Gaga’s album The Flame, some of the popular tunes are priced at US$1.29 while others are priced at US$0.99. However, the album still sells at US$9.99.

Interested to cuddle Steve Jobs to sleep? The cool peeps at PodBrix hand-crafted 500 pieces of this plush toy version of Steve Jobs for your collection. Standing at 43cm, Plush Jobs does stand quite tall amongst your other soft toy.

Plush Jobs loves you. Cuddle up with him and pretend he’s whispering corporate secrets in your ear. Jobs enjoys hanging out with your other stuffed animals… also he adores Barbie. But please keep him away from computers running Windows, he hates those.

Still available at US$27.99 (with International shipping it will cost US$44.69) – you will be the first 500 people to manhandle Plush Jobs. (somehow it reminds me of Mr Mackey from South Park)

Apple updated iTunes to version 8.1.1 with support for renting HD movies and provides a number of bug fixes, including addressing issues with VoiceOver and syncing with iPhone or iPod touch.

You can download the update via the Software Update menu item or via the iTunes download page.

With the iTunes Store not anywhere near to existence for Singapore, you just need to update for those bug fixes.
