iPad – wonderful product, horrible name

Apple’s Latest Creation is the iPad. Yes it is called the iPad. Take a breathe and let that pass. The jokes will come and go but the iPad will be coming. To a store near you probably by late spring.

Looking back at our prediction, we can be happy to say we got more than 50% of our predictions correct but happier to find out that the iPad is much more impressive as we have imagined.

Where to catch Apple’s event on Jan 27

The world will be focusing at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts Theater in San Francisco come this January 27 (2am on 28/1 for us) where we await with baited breathe on what Apple’s revealing. While we won’t be there, there are many acclaimed journalists and bloggers who will be there to live-stream the event.

Boot Camp and other updates for Windows 7, Security Updates for OS X

Support for Windows 7

Apple updated Boot Camp to support Microsoft Windows 7 – all 639 flavors of them. At the same time this update also addresses issues with the Apple trackpad, turns off the red digital audio port LED on laptop computers when it is not being used, and supports the Apple wireless keyboard and Apple Magic mouse.

We now know that there will be something happening on Jan 27 10am (2am Jan 28 SG) at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts Theater in San Francisco. The headline of the invite says “Come see our latest creation” which is not surprising since almost everyone expects an announcement for a new Tablet-like product from Apple.
