EpiCentre @ Marina Bay Sands

Although we don’t get Apple’s own iconic-designed stores like at the Fifth Avenue in New York City or the soon-to-be-opened store in Shanghai, we have many Apple Premium resellers that are making it easy for customers to get their hands on Apple’s products.
EpiCentre from AFOR Limited is one brand that has been raising the retail experience for Apple since their first store opened at the Wheelock Place back in 2002. Their sixth and newest store has opened at the beautiful Marina Bay Sands.
At 1,600 square feet, this is not the biggest store in their chain of outlets, but having it located at the heart of The Shoppes in Marina Bay Sands, with an indoor canal right outside the store front, it sure will become their featured store.
Being located at Marina Bay Sands where there is the biggest MICE facility in Singapore, and also having the second casino here, EpiCentre @ Marina Bay Sands has products and services catered to serve these customers. Besides all the Apple products there, you will also find other accessories like headphones and cases.
Another feature of this store is the iConcierge services – their version of the Genius Bar. Their iConcierge specialist is able to assists customers in any software and hardware queries and problems and it will definitely be helpful to hotel and conference guests who might need assistance with their Apple products.
The EpiCentre had its soft launch back in 25 May, 2010 and we were fortunate to be invited to attend the launch event. First impression of the place is like all EpiCentres – sleek and minimal – with three rows of tables showcasing Apple’s products, with another showing iPhone, iPods and headsets, and shelves filled with cases and other accessories – very Apple’ish.
On the event itself, there were the introductions by AFOR CEO Jimmy Fong, before a product demo of the Sonos Zoneplayer S5 which is being sold exclusively by EpiCentre. The guests were also treated to some name-the-song-and-artists game which eventually, with some “ahem” help, we won and got ourselves some handsome iPhone cases.
Before the final lucky draw( which we unfortunately didn’t win), we were given a tour of the Marina Bay Sands and got to see the Marina Bay from one of their hotel suites up on the 22nd floor. Guess this will be the next favorite hotel to pay if you want to catch the yearly New Year’s Eve or National Day fireworks.

The EpiCentre’s grand opening is this coming Saturday, 26 June 2010. If you are in the area, or if you get lucky at the casino, you know where to go from this Saturday onwards to get your favorite Apple products.
So if you happen to be at Marina Bay Sands and maybe, gets lucky at the casino, do swing over to the EpiCentre and treat yourself to some lovely Apple products.
