Apple opens new retail store in Shanghai

The glorious glass tower that stands out at the IFC Mall, Pudong Shanghai is Apple’s second retail store in China, the first being in Beijing. This new store’s glass tower can definitely match the glass cube at the Fifth Avenue store in New York.
With Apple starting their major push in the growing market of China, you will see more Apple retail presence all over China – 25 to be exact. I wonder if Lenovo Chairman Liu Chuanzhi will be quivering in his pants after saying Apple is missing a huge opportunity in China earlier this month. He told the Financial Times:
“We are lucky that Steve Jobs has such a bad temper and doesn’t care about China. If Apple were to spend the same effort on the Chinese consumer as we do, we would be in trouble.”
Well, there’s 25 more reasons why Mr Liu has to worry about.
Here’s a video of the opening day of the Shanghai store.
