According to a GfK survey reported in Reuters, only 25% of current smart phone owners in major markets plan to stay loyal to the operating system running in their phone now.

Among them, 59% of Apple users voted to stay loyal while 28 percent of Android users choose to stick with Google. Microsoft scored lowest at 21% while RIM comes in at 35% and Nokia still sustaining a decent 24% with their Symbian phones.

I am first a Mac user before getting my iPhone a year back. For me this is a no-brainer. I can’t see any other smartphone other than the iPhone that will work seamlessly with the rest of my Macs at home. I wonder out of that 59 percent of Apple customers, how many of them owns a Mac.
